Junior Accountant – Taxation

Junior Accountant – Taxation is a full-time opportunity with Confidential in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A growing Riyadh-based organization is seeking a Junior Accountant – Taxation to support accounting and tax activities. The position provides practical exposure to VAT, ZATCA compliance, reconciliations, audit preparation, financial records, and month-end accounting while working with finance and tax teams. The successful candidate will be expected to work professionally, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, and contribute to the smooth delivery of the responsibilities assigned to the position.

Job Details

• Salary: SAR 5,500 – 8,000 per month (Estimated)

Key Responsibilities

• Record routine accounting transactions accurately and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with VAT return preparation and related schedules and documentation.
• Review tax invoices and financial documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and organized accounting records.
• Support ZATCA compliance activities and maintain required documentation.
• Assist with tax reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit schedules.
• Support month-end closing and other finance-team activities as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• One to three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Saudi Arabia or GCC accounting experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of VAT principles and tax compliance.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good attention to detail, organization, and reconciliation ability.
• Willingness to develop specialist knowledge in taxation and regulatory reporting.
