Medical Surgical Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate nursing care to medical and surgical patients, ensuring individual needs are assessed and met throughout their stay.
• Perform regular patient assessments, accurately monitor vital signs, and document all clinical observations in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate proactively with physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.
• Provide clear and empathetic education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, post-operative care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain full compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention and control protocols, and patient safety regulations at all times.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to patient deterioration, escalating concerns through appropriate clinical pathways and participating in emergency response procedures.
• Support junior nursing staff and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the ward.

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience in a Medical Surgical Ward setting — this experience is mandatory.
• Currently registered as a nurse in your home country with a valid nursing licence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• DHA licence or DHA eligibility letter is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a busy, fast-paced hospital environment.
