Job Overview
Aster Hospitals & Clinics is looking for qualified Phlebotomists to support patient care and specimen collection services in the UAE. The role is suitable for healthcare professionals with practical experience in blood collection who can follow clinical procedures carefully and help patients feel comfortable during the process. The selected candidate will verify patient details, collect and handle specimens correctly, maintain accurate records and follow infection prevention requirements. A valid DHA or DOH licence or eligibility letter is essential, and the professional designation must specifically state Phlebotomist. Candidates should be confident communicating with patients, attentive to detail and able to work in a clinical environment where safety, accuracy and respectful care are important. The estimated monthly salary is AED 4,500 to AED 6,500.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out blood collection and other assigned phlebotomy procedures in line with approved clinical practices.
- Confirm patient identity and relevant details before collection, then label and document each specimen accurately.
- Handle, store and transfer specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures.
- Maintain infection control, hygiene and safety standards throughout the collection process.
- Explain procedures clearly, respond to patient concerns and provide a calm, respectful experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- A valid DHA or DOH licence or eligibility letter with the specific professional designation of Phlebotomist.
- Relevant practical experience in phlebotomy and blood collection.
- Applicants should be prepared to provide evidence of the required professional licensing status.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of blood collection, specimen handling, infection prevention and clinical documentation.
- Good patient communication and patient-handling skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to follow established laboratory and healthcare procedures.
Employment Details
Full-time healthcare position in Dubai, UAE. Estimated salary: AED 4,500–AED 6,500 per month. The vacancy requires the appropriate DHA or DOH Phlebotomist designation.
