Procurement Officer

An experienced Procurement Officer is required to manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships supporting construction projects. The role will ensure materials and services are sourced competitively, meet project requirements, and are delivered within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Request, compare, and negotiate quotations, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation.
• Coordinate requirements with engineering, commercial, project, and site teams.
• Monitor order status, material availability, deliveries, and lead times.
• Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or project specifications.

Requirements

• Proven procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience sourcing construction or MEP materials, equipment, and subcontracting services.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of UAE suppliers and the local construction market.
• Good Excel, documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates currently in the UAE are preferred.
