Quality Control Officer (Coffee)

ROR Roastery L.L.C. has a second opening for a Quality Control Officer (Coffee) as the Dubai-based specialty roaster continues to build out its quality function. The role is built for a coffee professional who’s equally comfortable running a cupping panel and writing up an audit report — someone who genuinely cares that every batch, and every espresso shot, meets the standard the brand is known for.

You’ll work closely with the roasting and barista teams to catch quality issues early, keep processes aligned with food safety requirements, and help drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Run quality checks and uphold standards across specialty coffee products
• Lead cupping sessions and sensory evaluations
• Handle espresso calibration to keep quality consistent
• Conduct quality audits and confirm compliance with food safety standards
• Provide barista training and guidance on quality procedures
• Flag emerging quality issues early and recommend improvements

What you bring

• At least 4 years’ relevant experience
• A degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related field
• SCA certification is an advantage
• A valid UAE driving licence (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of coffee quality standards and evaluation methods
