Amalgam UAE has an urgent opening for an experienced Road Safety Manager to support road and maintenance projects across Dubai, with a strong focus on RTA Maintenance Projects. If you know Dubai RTA standards inside and out and have real experience running road safety audits and crash investigations, this role puts that expertise to work.
You’ll lead safety reviews from concept through detailed design and implementation, coordinate closely with clients, consultants and site teams, and mentor junior staff along the way. Deep familiarity with temporary traffic diversions and traffic management for maintenance works will be a major advantage.
What you’ll be doing
- Run Road Safety Audits (RSA) across roads, junctions, underpasses, tunnels and bridges at every project stage
- Apply the Safe System Approach to flag and address road safety risks
- Conduct road safety studies and investigate crash sites
- Assess traffic safety conditions and recommend practical fixes for high-risk spots
- Manage road safety projects from start to finish
- Lead safety reviews from concept design through to implementation
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams
- Mentor junior staff on road safety practice
- Review temporary traffic diversions and management arrangements for maintenance works
- Keep every practice aligned with current standards and best practice
What you’ll bring
- 5–8+ years of experience in road or traffic safety
- Strong, demonstrable Dubai RTA experience
- Background working on RTA Maintenance Projects
- Solid Road Safety Audit and site-visit experience
- Real experience investigating crash sites
- Familiarity with temporary traffic diversions and traffic management
- Good knowledge of RTA standards and procedures
- Project management and coordination skills
- UAE/Dubai road and maintenance project experience preferred
