Universal Trading Company LLC is expanding its Machinery Division and is seeking experienced Sales Engineers for the UAE market. The business supplies engines, spare parts, generators and industrial equipment and represents DEUTZ AG and KOMAC Forklifts. This position suits a technically minded salesperson who can develop accounts and explain equipment solutions to commercial customers.
Job Overview
The Sales Engineer will build new business, look after existing customers and promote the company’s machinery range across assigned territories. The role combines product understanding with customer visits, market development, quotations and sales follow-up, with responsibility for achieving agreed commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new customers, sales channels and business opportunities within the assigned UAE territories.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication, customer visits and responsive account support.
- Conduct market research and customer meetings to understand requirements, identify projects and develop future sales opportunities.
- Promote diesel engines, spare parts, generators, compressors, forklifts and other industrial machinery solutions relevant to client needs.
- Prepare quotations, answer technical and commercial inquiries and follow up with customers through the sales process.
- Work toward assigned sales targets and contribute to the growth objectives of the Machinery Division.
Requirements & Qualifications
- An engineering background, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven sales experience with machinery, engines, generators, compressors, forklifts or related industrial equipment.
- A strong technical understanding combined with the ability to identify commercial opportunities and close sales.
- An established UAE customer network is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to develop new business.
- A UAE driving licence is preferred. No other specific professional certification was stated.
Skills
Important capabilities include technical product knowledge, business development, territory management, customer relationship building, quotation preparation and negotiation. Familiarity with the UAE industrial market and equipment applications will help the candidate advise customers effectively.
Employment Details
This is a full-time sales engineering role covering Dubai, the Northern Emirates and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The estimated monthly salary is AED 8,000–12,000. An engineering background and relevant machinery sales experience are sought.
