Job Overview
Fortune Shipping & Logistics LLC is seeking a Senior Executive for Pricing and Customer Service in Dubai. This role supports freight forwarding operations by preparing competitive quotations, obtaining rates from shipping partners, monitoring market conditions, and responding to customer requests. The successful candidate will combine commercial awareness with reliable coordination and a strong commitment to service quality. Accurate pricing and prompt customer communication help secure business, protect margins, and ensure customers receive clear, timely information about shipping options.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare freight quotations and pricing proposals using shipment details, current market rates, customer needs, and operational constraints.
- Obtain and compare rates from shipping lines, NVOCCs, and network partners to identify commercially competitive options.
- Monitor market movements and review pricing trends to support profitable, timely decisions.
- Coordinate with customers, shipping partners, and operations teams to clarify requirements and keep quotation details accurate.
- Respond to pricing and service enquiries promptly, following up when further information or revised rates are needed.
- Maintain organised quotation records and contribute to strong customer relationships through dependable communication and follow-through.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a graduate qualification.
- Have at least five years of relevant experience in freight forwarding or shipping logistics.
- Understand freight forwarding workflows and shipping-line pricing structures.
- Be able to analyse rates, compare options, and prepare clear commercial quotations.
- Demonstrate strong customer-service, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Be organised, commercially aware, and able to coordinate with several parties while meeting deadlines.
Core Skills
Important strengths include freight pricing, market analysis, quotation preparation, customer care, negotiation, written communication, and the judgement to balance competitiveness with commercial viability. The successful candidate should communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and maintain accurate records while handling competing priorities.
