Job Overview

A confidential enterprise technology employer is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build and operate advanced AI solutions for business applications. The work includes large language models, natural language processing, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, semantic search, and analytical models that support forecasting, supplier risk analysis, and anomaly detection. The engineer will help move models from development into secure production environments and improve their performance over time.

This senior position suits someone who can balance research-informed model development with practical constraints such as security, scalability, response time, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune large language models and NLP pipelines for enterprise use cases.
• Design RAG architectures and semantic search solutions that connect models with relevant business information.
• Build forecasting, supplier risk-scoring, anomaly detection, and optimization models.
• Deploy and maintain machine learning workloads in secure on-premise environments.
• Automate model training, deployment, and inference workflows using MLOps practices.
• Monitor quality, latency, and operational performance, then improve models and pipelines as needed.
• Work with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver reliable production AI systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Five or more years of machine learning engineering experience is required; seven to ten years is preferred.
• Strong Python programming skills are essential.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy is required.
• Experience with LLMs, Transformers, Hugging Face, LangChain, and RAG architectures is expected.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, and production ML deployment is required.
• Applicants should be able to work with structured and unstructured data, SQL databases, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are important.
