Job Overview
Technopower Group is seeking a Senior Odoo Developer for a full-time, one-year remote project supporting a UAE team. The role includes developing and customising Odoo modules, integrating third-party systems, improving performance, and advising on architecture and upgrades. It suits an experienced developer who can work independently and communicate fluently in Arabic and English during UAE business hours. The developer will help deliver dependable ERP implementations that reflect business processes, connect with other platforms, and remain maintainable as requirements change.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customise, and maintain Odoo modules that meet functional requirements across business workflows.
- Integrate Odoo with third-party applications through REST APIs, web services, and well-documented data exchanges.
- Analyse database queries and application behaviour, then optimise performance and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, documentation, and structured debugging to maintain quality and reduce regressions.
- Provide technical recommendations for architecture, best practices, upgrades, and migration planning.
- Work with project stakeholders to translate business needs into complete Odoo implementations and support reliable delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Have at least six years of practical Odoo development experience.
- Be fully proficient in Arabic and English and available during required UAE working hours.
- Understand Odoo ORM and module architecture, with experience in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, OWL/QWeb, REST APIs, and Git.
- Have experience with Odoo CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and Marketing Automation.
- Communicate clearly and manage assigned work independently in a remote project environment.
- Experience with Odoo Manufacturing (MRP) or industrial and manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Core Skills
Core strengths include ERP customisation, API integration, database optimisation, clean coding, debugging, technical documentation, version control, and explaining trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate should communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and maintain accurate records while handling competing priorities.
