Job Overview
The Espresso Lab is seeking a Web Developer to help build, maintain, and improve its websites and web applications in Dubai. This full-time opportunity is suitable for a developer with practical front-end and/or back-end experience and a solid understanding of modern web technologies. The role combines application development, interface implementation, website maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. The successful candidate will work on reliable, responsive digital experiences and help ensure that online platforms perform smoothly across devices. Applicants who are available to join immediately are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive websites and web applications.
- Build and support application features using PHP, Laravel, Python, and MySQL.
- Create clear, user-friendly interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Improve page loading speed, responsiveness, usability, and overall website performance.
- Connect websites and applications with APIs and support content management systems when required.
- Investigate reported issues, identify the cause of errors, fix bugs, and improve existing functionality.
- Work with relevant colleagues to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Practical experience in front-end and/or back-end web development.
- Strong working knowledge of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing or maintaining applications with Python and PHP frameworks.
- Understanding of responsive design, browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
- Experience with CMS platforms and API integrations is an advantage.
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent practical skills may also be relevant.
Skills
The ideal applicant is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting technical problems. Strong programming fundamentals, an understanding of databases, and the ability to manage tasks independently will be valuable.
