    Job Overview

    Omnium International is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Cost Manager to join its Abu Dhabi team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in cost management or quantity surveying who are looking to grow within large-scale construction and engineering projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing project budgets and track actual costs against planned estimates
    • Carry out quantity surveying tasks, including measurements and preparation of bills of quantities
    • Review contractor and supplier payment applications for accuracy and compliance
    • Monitor change orders and evaluate their impact on overall project costs
    • Prepare cost reports, forecasts, variance analysis, and performance summaries
    • Support procurement activities and contract administration from a cost perspective
    • Work closely with project teams to provide reliable cost data and financial insights
    • Maintain well-organized cost records, documentation, and cash flow projections

    Requirements

    • 2–4 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or project estimation
    • Experience working on construction or engineering projects
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software/tools
    • Good understanding of construction contracts, project workflows, and cost control techniques
    • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
    • UAE experience will be an added advantage
