Job Overview
Al Qandeel LLC is looking to hire a competent and experienced Safety Engineer to manage and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards across its construction projects in Dubai. This role plays a vital part in ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing workplace risks, and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all project sites
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and routine safety inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality and Civil Defense safety regulations
- Conduct safety inductions and awareness programs to promote a strong safety-first mindset among staff and workers
- Oversee daily site activities to prevent incidents, accidents, and disruptions
- Maintain accurate records of safety reports, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent adherence to safe working practices
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance workplace safety standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred discipline)
- 3–5 years of relevant UAE experience as a Safety Engineer within the construction industry
- Solid knowledge of Dubai Municipality and Civil Defense safety requirements
- NEBOSH certification or an equivalent recognized qualification is mandatory
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and monitoring capabilities
- Ability to lead safety training sessions and enforce safety compliance effectively
