Role Purpose
The Department Subject Matter Expert – SSP will provide expert operational guidance and coaching during shifts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, consistency in service delivery, and immediate resolution of safety or procedural shortfalls. This role is focused on driving performance and quality improvements within dnata’s airport operations, in alignment with Emiratisation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Monitoring
- Schedule and conduct operational observations and audits.
- Create and execute structured audit plans and deliver performance reports.
Operational Leadership
- Lead safety briefings and provide on-the-job technical guidance.
- Identify and address process gaps, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Act as point of escalation for procedural and behavioural issues on shift.
Coaching & Compliance
- Offer real-time coaching and performance feedback to operational staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, environmental, and training standards.
- Deliver clear, constructive feedback to teams and department management.
Disruption & Recovery
- Support operational recovery during disruptions and crises under guidance from management.
- Provide independent decision-making support and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma with 4–6 years of experience in ground handling, aviation, or customer service
- Deep understanding of:
- Airline products, ground services, and IATA/ICAO regulations
- Aviation terminology, DCS, baggage systems, or cleaning processes (depending on function)
- UAE Driving License (for airside roles)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Strong supervisory, planning, and analysis skills
- Level 5 English language proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems
