Job Description

A reputable organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and utilizing SAP ERP systems for efficient financial management. Candidates currently based in the UAE and available for immediate or short-notice joining will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Manage general ledger activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Record, review, and reconcile financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures

Reconciliations & Closing Activities

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare supporting schedules and financial documentation

Financial Reporting

• Prepare financial reports and management reports as required
• Support internal financial operations and reporting requirements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

ERP & Compliance Management

• Utilize SAP ERP systems for financial processing and reporting
• Support VAT-related accounting activities and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial documentation and reporting needs

Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory

Professional Experience

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within large organizations or corporate groups
• Proven experience in general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end closing activities

Language Requirement

• Arabic language proficiency is mandatory

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
• Knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems
