Accountant

A well-established Steel and Metals Trading company in Dubai is looking for an experienced Accountant with strong trade finance knowledge to join its growing finance team.

You’ll manage core accounting functions, handle Documentary Letters of Credit (LCs), prepare financial statements, and ensure VAT compliance — with Odoo ERP as the primary system. Previous experience in the steel and metals sector is a strong advantage.

What you’ll do:

• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Handle Documentary Letters of Credit (LCs) and trade finance transactions
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions
• Complete month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards
• Prepare and review banking and commercial correspondence

What you’ll bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with Documentary LCs and trade finance (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Odoo ERP
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, VAT compliance, and bank reconciliation
• Previous Steel and Metals Trading experience is highly preferred
