A ship trading company in Dubai is hiring an experienced Claims Negotiator with expertise in shipping operations and tanker desk claim management. This role is intended for professionals who understand maritime commercial operations and can effectively manage claims, settlements, and stakeholder coordination across international shipping activities.

The position focuses heavily on negotiation, documentation review, operational dispute handling, and maritime claim settlement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and negotiate shipping claims related to tanker operations
• Coordinate with shipowners, cargo owners, insurers, and freight forwarders
• Manage disputes involving demurrage, detention, heating, speed-up, and related dues
• Review shipping contracts, charter documents, and operational records for claim validation
• Ensure accurate claim processing and timely settlement activities
• Maintain organized records of claim communication and documentation
• Support operational and commercial teams with claims-related analysis and coordination

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of shipping and maritime operations experience
• Proven experience in shipping claims management and dispute resolution
• Strong understanding of tanker desk operations and maritime workflows
• Knowledge of maritime law and insurance settlement procedures
• Ability to coordinate with international shipping stakeholders and service providers
• Candidates currently based in Dubai are preferred
