    Job Overview

    China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Documents Controller to join its team in Dubai South. This role is essential in managing project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth coordination across teams, including communication with the company’s headquarters in China.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage, track, and distribute project documents in accordance with company procedures
    • Maintain document registers, revision histories, and transmittal logs for proper version control
    • Coordinate with the Chinese head office on documentation requirements, including translation when necessary
    • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for timely submissions and approvals
    • Organize and archive project records securely in compliance with contractual and regulatory standards
    • Monitor document flow to ensure records are updated, accessible, and properly stored

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
    • 3–5 years of experience in document control within construction or engineering projects
    • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) is mandatory
    • Strong knowledge of document management systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar platforms
    • Excellent command of English with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
    • Non-Chinese nationality as per role requirement
