Job Overview
A dynamic organization within the aviation sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for professionals who can manage accounting operations efficiently while ensuring compliance with financial regulations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconstruct and prepare books of accounts for the past five years using available financial data
- Review and validate financial documents, including ledgers, tax records, and customs-related documentation
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including preparation of Trial Balance (TB)
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all financial records
- Maintain organized documentation and support audits or financial reviews
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a UAE Freezone environment is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in inventory management
- Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
- Familiarity with Dubai VAT regulations
- Experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Trade Finance is highly preferred
