Job Overview

A dynamic shipyard operation in Abu Dhabi is urgently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage sourcing and purchasing activities for marine projects. This role is ideal for professionals with strong procurement expertise and familiarity with shipyard or marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure marine materials, spare parts, and equipment based on project requirements
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and process purchase orders efficiently
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement activities
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate vendor performance
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and maintain accurate documentation
• Handle import/export documentation when required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in marine or shipyard operations
• Strong knowledge of marine materials, equipment, and spare parts
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Familiarity with procurement processes, documentation, and compliance standards
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities

Additional Qualifications

• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain is an advantage
