Senior Accountant

FSG Lab in Dubai is looking for a technically strong and proactive Senior Accountant to take on a wide-ranging role within its growing finance team. If you have solid IFRS knowledge, hands-on Odoo experience, and enjoy mentoring junior colleagues while keeping financial operations running at a high standard, this role is worth exploring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded with precision.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities efficiently.
• Post and review journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor AP, AR, and fixed asset records.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and internal finance policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits by supplying accurate documentation.
• Review payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Investigate financial performance variances and contribute to process improvements and ERP (Odoo) implementation projects.
• Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on daily finance tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role.
• Strong IFRS and UAE VAT knowledge.
• Hands-on ERP experience; Odoo proficiency is an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Prior experience in healthcare, clinics, laboratories, or multi-company environments preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
