Senior Accountant

A leading sports facility in Dubai Sports City is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to run end-to-end accounting operations and support the organization’s overall financial management. This role fits accounting professionals who bring strong technical expertise and want to ensure financial accuracy, tax compliance, and efficient reporting across the business.

You’ll manage financial records, tax filings, reconciliations, and reporting, while coordinating audits and offering financial insight that actually informs business decisions. Experience within a sports facility or similar industry will be considered a strong plus, though it’s not mandatory.

Given the pace of a sports facility’s operations, this role rewards someone who can stay on top of daily transactional accuracy while still finding time to zoom out and support bigger financial planning conversations with management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
• Record and monitor daily financial transactions accurately
• Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and budget performance
• Handle VAT compliance, VAT returns, and corporate tax accounting
• Support corporate tax documentation and coordinate with auditors
• Maintain accounting records per UAE regulations and company policy
• Manage payroll-related accounting entries
• Maintain accounting software records and system functionality
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of relevant accounting experience
• Sports facility or similar industry background is a plus
• Big 4 accounting firm experience is a plus
• QuickBooks knowledge is a plus
• ACCA / CA qualification preferred
