Year 5 Class Teacher

Job Summary

A Year 5 Class Teacher is required for 2019/2020 to teach all homeroom subjects (Literacy/English, Numeracy/Maths, Science, History, Geography, ICT and PSHE/Citizenship) to a class of around 25 Year 5 (10 year old) children. Helped by a bilingual, full-time Co-Teacher, Teachers plan, teach, mark, assess pupils and write reports each term to parents, follow up on behaviour issues and take part in preparation for school events (concerts, trips, an annual Fun Day and Sports Day, Crazy Hat Day, etc.), liaising with parents, attending parent-teacher meetings once per term and break supervision duties a few times a week. Some training is provided annually and the school offers several professional development opportunities, including PGCEi, and a supportive atmosphere in which staff thrive and develop their skills.
