📝 Job Summary:

A transformational leader responsible for directing nursing care and support operations in the Endoscopy unit, ensuring high-quality care for patients and their families. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality improvement, staff engagement, and operational excellence.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Endoscopy unit
• Supervise RNs, PCAs, techs, HUCs, and clerical staff
• Develop staffing schedules and adjust based on patient flow
• Manage unit budget and monitor KPIs (e.g., worked hours per patient day)
• Drive quality improvement, patient experience, and nurse performance initiatives
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Foster partnerships with physicians, clinicians, and administrators
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and team member engagement
• Implement UVA’s Shared Governance Model at unit level

🎓 Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• BSN from an accredited program
• Master’s in related field required within 5 years of hire

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of progressive RN experience
• Dialysis-specific requirement (if applicable):
  • 12 months clinical nursing
  • 6 months dialysis care

Licensure & Certifications:

• RN License – Virginia
• BLS – AHA Healthcare Provider
• Valid VA Driver’s License (for multi-location responsibility)
• Specialty certification (at hire or within 3 years)
