Accountant

SetupMate, a growing business consulting firm in Dubai, is on the lookout for a dependable Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This is a full-time on-site position well-suited for someone with UAE-specific accounting exposure who wants to build a solid career in a forward-moving company.

The role centres on maintaining clean financial records, keeping up with VAT and corporate tax obligations, and working independently within a lean team. Familiarity with Zoho Books is non-negotiable for this position.

Core Responsibilities:

• Keep financial records current and accurate through consistent bookkeeping.
• Process and reconcile bank transactions on a timely basis.
• Enter and manage accounting data within Zoho Books.
• Prepare and organize supporting financial documentation.
• Stay compliant with UAE FTA requirements, including VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Assist in generating financial summaries and maintaining audit-ready records.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books is a mandatory requirement.
• Sound understanding of UAE FTA regulations and tax compliance.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Immediate joiners and candidates on a personal visa are preferred.
