Junior Accountant

A manufacturing organisation in Umm Al Quwain is looking for a diligent Junior Accountant with proven UAE accounting experience to join its Finance team. The role covers the full range of bookkeeping and financial administration duties and is well suited to someone looking to grow in a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep financial records and all accounting documentation precise and well-organised.
• Post daily financial transactions and journal entries accurately.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Carry out bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Generate invoices, payment vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain petty cash and monitor employee expense submissions.
• Assist with VAT documentation and support the preparation of VAT returns.
• Update the General Ledger and assist with financial reporting tasks.
• Support audit requirements by maintaining thorough documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 2–5+ years of UAE accounting experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is an advantage.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
• Good English communication skills.
• Candidates residing in or willing to commute to Umm Al Quwain preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
