Job Overview
Steel Construction Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support its finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with early experience in construction accounting who are eager to develop their skills in a project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily accounting operations within the construction finance department
- Maintain accurate financial records and support project-based accounting activities
- Handle job costing processes and ensure proper allocation of project expenses
- Support progress billing and coordinate with project teams
- Manage subcontractor payment records and assist with payment processing
- Prepare financial reports using accounting systems and Excel
- Support month-end closing and reconciliation activities
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance
Requirements
- 1–2 years of accounting experience within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of job costing, progress billing, and subcontractor payments
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho, and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Only candidates with construction industry experience will be considered
