Job Description

A leading infrastructure project team in Dubai is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to support major construction and infrastructure developments. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in site surveying, setting out, and construction measurement activities within the UAE infrastructure sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate surveys, verifying project coordinates and levels, supporting construction teams, and ensuring all works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications. The position requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of UAE infrastructure project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Setting Out & Construction Surveying

• Perform setting out activities for:
  • Roads
  • Utility Corridors
  • Drainage Networks
  • Infrastructure Works
• Establish control points and benchmarks on site
• Verify alignment, coordinates, and levels before execution of works
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings and specifications

Site Survey Operations

• Conduct pre-construction surveys and site investigations
• Perform post-construction surveys and verification activities
• Carry out topographic and layout surveys as required
• Collect and record accurate field survey data

Measurement & Verification

• Verify levels, grades, elevations, and coordinates
• Check construction dimensions and positioning accuracy
• Ensure all measurements meet project requirements and tolerances
• Report discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions when necessary

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and construction teams
• Provide survey support throughout project execution
• Assist project teams in resolving surveying and alignment issues
• Ensure smooth communication between site and engineering departments

Survey Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate survey records and field notes
• Prepare survey reports and measurement documentation
• Update survey data and project records regularly
• Ensure proper storage and management of survey information

As-Built Documentation

• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings
• Verify completed works against approved designs
• Collect and document final survey data for project closeout
• Support project submissions and handover documentation

Equipment Management

• Operate and maintain survey instruments and equipment
• Ensure calibration and proper functioning of survey tools
• Monitor equipment accuracy and performance
• Follow safety procedures while conducting field surveys

Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in:

Professional Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of UAE infrastructure project experience
• Experience with:
  • RTA Projects
  • Dubai Municipality Projects
  • Utility Infrastructure Projects
• Strong construction surveying background

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in survey instruments and measurement equipment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and site plans
