    Job Description

    Big Mart General Trading L.L.C is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join its growing team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in the UAE retail, FMCG, or hypermarket sector who are looking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and assisting with financial reporting activities. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions
    • Support daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities
    • Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards
    • Assist with VAT-related processes and documentation
    • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy
    • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation as required
    • Collaborate with internal departments to support business operations
    • Meet reporting deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy

    Requirements

    • 2–5 years of local UAE accounting experience
    • Experience within the Retail, FMCG, or Hypermarket sector is highly preferred
    • Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and accounting principles
    • Knowledge of VAT compliance requirements and reporting procedures
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
