Lighting Sales Engineer

Dawn Industries, a leading distributor of premium lighting solutions across the UAE and GCC, is seeking an energetic, technically knowledgeable, and commercially focused Lighting Sales Engineer to join its growing Dubai team. This is a high-impact role for a sales professional with a background in electrical engineering who can combine technical credibility with strong client relationship skills to drive business growth across architectural, commercial, and decorative lighting segments.

You’ll be working with a portfolio of innovative, high-quality lighting products and building relationships with some of Dubai’s most prominent architects, consultants, interior designers, contractors, and real estate developers. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including lighting consultants, M&E contractors, architects, interior designers, property developers, and end clients across the UAE.
• Promote and sell Dawn Industries’ full portfolio of architectural, commercial, and decorative lighting solutions, ensuring each recommendation is technically appropriate and commercially attractive to the client.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, lighting specifications, BOQ support, and quotations tailored to project requirements and budget parameters.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through project tracking, market research, networking, and proactive outreach to target accounts.
• Work closely with the internal technical and project team to ensure smooth handover, order fulfilment, and on-site support for delivered projects.
• Achieve and surpass individual monthly and quarterly sales targets, maintaining accurate pipeline records and sales forecasts.
• Track market trends, upcoming project opportunities, competitor products, and industry developments to keep Dawn Industries ahead of the curve.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in lighting sales or technical sales within the UAE or GCC market — demonstrable market relationships are a significant advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting products, photometry, lighting controls, driver compatibility, and application-specific lighting specifications.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and client communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Current UAE residency preferred; valid UAE Driving Licence is strongly preferred for client site visits and project meetings.
• Familiarity with lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) is an added advantage.
