ATLAS Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join its General Contracting construction team in Dubai. The selected candidate will play a key role in promoting workplace safety, conducting inspections, identifying potential hazards, and supporting compliance with UAE health and safety standards on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across construction sites.
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Prepare safety reports, incident records, and related documentation.
• Assist in carrying out risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure workers follow approved safety procedures and guidelines.
• Support safety awareness programs and conduct toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.
• Investigate incidents and near-miss events and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in UAE building construction projects.
• Strong understanding of UAE health and safety regulations and requirements.
• Experience with site inspections, safety monitoring, and hazard identification.
• Familiarity with OSHAD requirements and industry safety standards.
• Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and incident investigation capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
