Assistant Buyer

Danube Group, one of the UAE’s leading retail and home improvement conglomerates, is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded Assistant Buyer – Garden to join its buying team in Dubai. This is a fantastic entry point into category management and retail buying, offering broad exposure to product sourcing, supplier management, e-commerce operations, and merchandising within a well-established and growing organisation.

In this role, you will directly support the Senior Buyer in managing the Garden Category across both brick-and-mortar Cash & Carry stores and digital e-commerce channels. You will analyse sales performance data, monitor competitor activity, manage product listings and pricing, coordinate marketing campaigns, and build strong working relationships with suppliers. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Buyer with supplier negotiations, product sourcing decisions, and purchase order management across the Garden category.
• Maintain and update product listings, pricing, and inventory data across e-commerce platforms and Cash & Carry stores.
• Analyse sales performance, customer demand patterns, and market trends to inform buying and replenishment decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on product content creation, seasonal promotions, and campaign planning.
• Monitor stock availability and proactively resolve supply chain or inventory issues.
• Conduct competitor and market research to identify new product opportunities and category growth initiatives.
• Support seasonal purchasing plans and category merchandising activities.
• Build and maintain effective supplier and vendor relationships.
• Respond to product-related customer queries and use feedback to improve offerings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, category management, or procurement.
• Experience in Garden, Home Improvement, Home Décor, DIY, or Retail categories is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced retail environment.

Salary: AED 5,000–7,500/month (Estimated) | Location: Dubai, UAE
