A prestigious sports and recreational complex in Sharjah is seeking a seasoned HR Manager to take full ownership of its human resources function. This is a senior leadership position for an HR professional with deep expertise in multicultural workforce management, UAE labour compliance, and the operational demands of a dynamic hospitality or leisure environment.
Reporting to senior management, you will architect and execute HR strategies that attract, develop, and retain talented employees across all departments. From talent acquisition and onboarding to workforce planning, policy development, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the organisation’s leadership. Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE requirements, and visa procedures is essential, as is the ability to navigate the cultural diversity typical of a UAE leisure and sports facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all HR operations across the organisation, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Drive talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies to meet the organisation’s operational and growth requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law, MOHRE regulations, and all applicable employment legislation.
- Manage employee visa processing, work permit administration, and related government liaison activities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Champion employee engagement programmes and foster a positive, inclusive organisational culture.
- Manage HR processes for a large, culturally diverse workforce, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Partner with department heads and senior leadership to address workforce challenges and support business objectives.
Requirements:
- 6–10+ years of professional HR management experience; hospitality, leisure, recreation, or retail sector experience strongly preferred.
- In-depth working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE guidelines, and employment best practices.
- Proven expertise in UAE visa processing and employment administration procedures.
- Track record of building and managing multicultural teams and driving employee engagement initiatives.
- Experience developing and rolling out HR policies and SOPs from scratch or reviewing existing frameworks.
- Professional English proficiency; Arabic fluency is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
