CEMEX United Arab Emirates is looking for a qualified Health and Safety Officer to strengthen safety culture and HSE systems across its Dubai operations in the building materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with local H&S regulations
- Run safety orientations, training sessions and meetings
- Support development and upkeep of company HSE management systems
- Monitor HSE system effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with CEMEX HSE policies and regulatory requirements
- Lead accident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Join safety committee meetings and provide technical guidance
- Work with managers and staff to promote a safe workplace
- Act as an internal trainer on health and safety topics
- Carry out regular HSE audits and inspections
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of HSE and operations experience, ready-mix/cement industry preferred
- NEBOSH IGC certification mandatory
- OSHAD certification required
- ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification required
- Strong knowledge of hazard ID, risk assessment and safety analysis
- Experience with safety audits, inspections and compliance reporting
- Knowledge of firefighting and emergency response procedures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High integrity and attention to detail
