A growing organisation in the UAE is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai or Sharjah. This is an ideal opportunity for accounting professionals with 2–5 years of UAE experience who are eager to broaden their skills, contribute meaningfully to daily financial operations, and grow their careers within a supportive and collaborative workplace environment.

You’ll be handling a solid mix of core accounting responsibilities — from general ledger maintenance and AP/AR management to VAT compliance and audit support — giving you excellent all-round exposure at an early stage of your career. Strong technical skills and a genuine passion for numbers are the two things that will set the best applicants apart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger records and perform accurate, timely day-to-day bookkeeping activities across all company accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) cycles end-to-end, including invoice processing, payment runs, and customer billing.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and internal records promptly.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other management reports as directed by the finance team.
  • Support UAE VAT return preparation and ensure ongoing compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations and filing deadlines.
  • Process expense claims, verify supplier invoices, and manage vendor payments efficiently within approved payment timelines.
  • Assist senior management and external auditors by providing well-organised financial documentation, supporting schedules, and reconciliation workings during audit periods.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 2–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one recognised accounting software platform — QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial spreadsheet modelling.
  • Good practical understanding of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organisational discipline, and clear communication skills.
