A leading Marine Engineering organization in Dubai is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead strategic procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and oversee sourcing of engineering materials for the marine, shipbuilding, and ship repair sectors.
Mandatory experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, or Marine Engineering companies is required. Candidates from Construction or EPC backgrounds with strong engineering procurement experience may also be considered.
What you’ll do:
- Lead all procurement activities including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and purchase planning
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors
- Oversee vendor management, store management, and procurement processes for engineering materials
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability
- Monitor procurement performance and ensure compliance with company policies
What you’ll bring:
- 8–12 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Mandatory experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, or Marine Engineering
- Candidates from Construction or EPC backgrounds with strong engineering procurement may also be considered
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Focus ERP
- GCC experience is an added advantage
