Sabi Electromechanical Works L.L.C. is seeking an experienced and proactive Purchase Officer to join its growing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, evaluating suppliers, obtaining competitive pricing, and maintaining strong vendor relationships while supporting ongoing project requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and payment terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials and supplies.
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of purchased items to support project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to understand procurement requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience within the MEP or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, purchasing procedures, and supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or purchasing management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • UAE industry experience will be a significant advantage.
