Finance Executive Job Responsibilities
- Handles monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for the assigned entity. This involves preparing journal vouchers, managing payments, receipts, invoices, credit and debit notes, and matching invoices with delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Manages monthly general journal and ledger tasks according to organizational policies and standards.
- Prepares accounts payable cheques and wire-transfers for approval and reconciles accounts with major suppliers and contractors.
- Validates commercial customer history, credit limits, and aging reports, updating stakeholders on late receipts.
- Maintains the account receivable ledger, closes accounts, and handles reporting.
- Records payments and receipts, performs matching and remittance, ensuring proper documentation for all accounting entries.
- Collaborates with auditors to resolve accounting discrepancies and liaises with external customers and suppliers for account statement reconciliation.
- Assists with various financial analyses and supports financial decision-making by conducting feasibility studies, financial due diligence, and other financial assessments.
- Sets performance goals in consultation with the reporting manager and monitors their achievement throughout the year.
- Identifies development needs and pursues learning opportunities beyond training in consultation with the reporting manager.
- Understands and cultivates competencies relevant to the role and stays updated on industry developments and techniques through ongoing education and professional networks.
