4Shift your focus

If your responsibilities are never changed, or you’ve had the same duties for the entire time you’ve been at the company, ask your boss if you can alter your workload or the kind of work you currently do. Whether you’re overworked or completely unchallenged, definitely your boss will respect your desire to master something new.

5Brainstorm

Make a group of innovative colleagues and tackle an issue together. Don’t even worry about only writing down the “good” ideas or separating the “definitely” from the “maybes.” Just capture as many new ideas as you can and try to clear your points in front of all.

6Change your routine

Your brain needs stimulus, and you need to relax. Try doing your complex tasks differently, in a separate seat, or with other people at a different time.
